Teacher-Led Learning Rooted in Faith and Community

Mrs. Rose has been a true blessing to our family. We homeschool, and our children are enrolled with her one day a week. On the day we attend, Mrs. Rose and her teachers guide the children through writing instruction, graded spelling tests, reading groups, and mathematics-while also allowing time for free play and friendship.

As a mother of four, this program has been an answer to prayer. It provides meaningful academic support while still allowing me to remain the primary educator of my children. I am deeply grateful for the care, structure, and encouragement Mrs. Rose and her teachers provide.

Mrs. Rose and her teachers are truly amazing!

We just decided to start homeschooling this semester, and my very first conversation with Mrs. Rose immediately put me at ease and gave me the confidence that I could do this. Thank God for her micro school—Lily adapted right away to both her and the other children.

She has such a special way of making everyone feel welcome and safe. Lily was very hesitant to go in on the first day, but within five minutes she turned around and told me I could leave! That moment said everything. We are so grateful.

When I first met Rose, she felt like a breath of fresh air — radiant, steady, and unmistakably special. I remember coming home and telling my husband that she reminded me of a beloved preschool teacher who had once shaped our oldest child’s early years. At the time, I didn’t yet understand just how profoundly an educational environment could shape a child’s life.

With our older two children, we spent years in the public school system before eventually turning to homeschooling. By the time our youngest was ready for school, it quickly became clear that homeschooling was not the right fit for him. We knew what we wanted, though: individualized learning, and an education rooted in our faith, our passions, and our priorities.

When we found Rose, we found all of that — and so much more.

Her character alone speaks volumes to our children. She is firm, holds them to high standards, and challenges them to rise to their potential — yet remarkably, they embrace it. It is a beautiful thing to witness how deeply they desire her respect, and how naturally that respect is returned.

The first end-of-year program brought me to tears. Not out of sentiment alone, but because it represented everything we had hoped for our son — and everything we wish had existed for our older children as well. The BELIEVE Initiative has given us something truly rare and extraordinary. There is so much to love that it is difficult to name just one best part, but above all, it has given our child an education that nurtures both who he is and who he is becoming.

Times were uncertain and I soon learned that my sons previous school was not upholding the Christian education I so wanted for them. By the Grace of God I was welcomed into The Believe Initiative where I watched the amazing Mrs. Rose build up all the dreams us families had in our previous school into Gods intended plan. The Believe initiative provided not only an amazing Christian education so far but also a family community of like minded parents all wanting the best free, Godly, nature, and individualized academic setting for their children. This school has brought out what every home school parent dreams of and allows their children to grow spiritually, freely, woodsmanly and provides the ability to learn how to use God given earth the way it has been intended to be used with homestead skills. I recommend this community to any parent like myself that wants to raise their children to be one with the land, one with God, and one with eachother.

I never felt that public school was right for my children. I wanted to homeschool but had a very hard time teaching my oldest. He was resistant and I also have to run my business. As his kindergarten age approached, I learned there are other ways to “homeschool” that aren’t simply being at home alone with your kids every day. Microschooling was introduced to me and that seemed like the perfect fit! Not only can we choose how many days we attend vs home learning, but at BELIEVE, we are surrounded by others with the same Christian and conservative values- teachers and parents raising kids that I want my kids to do life with. I know all the kids, I know all the parents and if any issue were to arise, it will be approached with a mutual goal in mind, peaceful conflict resolution because we are a tight-knit community that values one another (after 3 years with Mrs. Rose, I cannot say there has ever been a need for conflict resolution). The kids are all friends and excited to hang out each day- and they get to… they do their work, but there’s still plenty of time to socialize. I didn’t want my kids to be sitting at a desk all day, with 28 other people exactly the same age, not allowed to speak, having to ask to go to the bathroom or not having enough time for lunch, potentially being bullied or teased by peers. All 3 of my kids being together throughout their school career is also a strong motivator for me- they will always have each other to come to when needed, not be separated by buildings. We wanted a more independent, individualized, family style approach with kids of all ages, in an environment that teaches them real life skills. We could not be happier with our little community! I feel blessed every day to have the opportunity to drop my kids off with people I trust whole-heartedly to teach them and treat them the same way their mother does. They have a shorter day than public school, I still see them for many hours in the afternoon and evening while also getting a break to do things for myself and business during the day. I can be as involved as I want- there is no ushering of parents out the door as some schools require little to no “interference”. All the families get together monthly for field trips. There are projects, plays, farm animals, lots of outdoor play and learning when weather permits. It’s the best thing for our family. As for Mrs. Rose, we’d follow her anywhere. She is the most true-to-her-word, wise, caring and compassionate yet strong leader. If she says “this is what we value here” it’s because she means it and that’s what you can expect from there on out. And I value consistency, honesty and forthright in others. We will support her as this vision grows into what we all dream it will be in the near future (as a new school on the scene- we have big dreams for it)!
